STUDIO MARIAN
Marian Frezza Arnold, Founder of Studio Marian, represents the PERRINE collections in the United Kingdom.

Marian, can you introduce yourself?
Hello, I am Italian and I arrived in London 20 years ago.
I lived in several different countries and worked in many fields before becoming an interior designer. Throughout my career, I have developed a passion for hand-woven textiles, rugs and fabrics. I have an appreciation and natural curiosity for all things handmade, natural and unique.
I created Studio Marian in 2015 because I wanted to share my passion for these beautiful weaves with British designers.

If you had to choose 3 words to describe yourself, what would they be?
I am passionate , determined and courageous .
Tell us about your first textile memory?
My mother is a big collector of textiles, she has saved every little piece of fabric since 1960.
She's almost 80 now, but she has golden hands and makes all sorts of things with her fabrics.
Both my parents have always had an eye and taste for unique finds, and their home is like a cabinet of curiosities that tells the stories of their adventures around the world. I remember them returning from their adventures carrying beautiful vintage rugs and hand-woven textiles.
I also remember crazy curtains and bedspread made with Ken Scott fabrics, blue parrots and masses of flowers that somehow went well with the rest of the madness vintage!
What subject inspires you the most? And what is your favorite association?
I love mohair, cashmere and paradoxically, waxed fibers. I love the texture and contrast between different media. I like discreet luxury.
What is your favorite PERRINE product?
BAGALI fabric, I love the simplicity of this textile and the imperfections of its weaving, I never tire of it. I also like the GANGA, THABOR and BANQUISE SARI : they are magnificent! I love the MAHA rug, it is unique and elegant!
